MAGGIE THE VIZSLA

We had this stunning girl come and see us for help with loose leash walking and dog reactivity.

When her owners got her out of the car, she was pulling that hard she could have easily damaged her throat, but she just didn’t care.

She would lunge towards other dogs and could look quite intimidating. When we peeled everything back, it was obvious this was just out of nerve.

We started the session off by teaching her some lead manners and how she should behave when she felt the pressure of the lead. Once she understood she was walking nicely in no time at all.

Alongside, we also worked on how to increase her food drive and get her engaged so we could reward the correct behaviours.

Next, we worked on her dog reactivity, and by the end of the session, we had her walking around our boy without reacting and able to ignore the odd dog she saw on the way back to the car.

Brilliant session with great owners and a lovely girl.
